DLH Productions is the work of Portland's very own Dave Hupp. He's a local professional photographer that has been shooting and filming skateboarding in the Northwest for years. His work can be seen in movies, magazines, and more. Check out his website and tell him Burnsideskatepark.com sent you.

"Built without permission, by skateboarders and later sanctioned by the city, Burnside is the preeminent example of action.... Like a magnifying glass in the sun, Burnside can witness a concentration of skill level unmatched anywhere. You can see crazy, crazy things there. Go, watch, learn, be humbled, excited and inspired. It is amazing."

No Skating Zone!

Friday, September 28
There have been a few changes at Burnside recently concerning our relationship with the neighboring businesses and I thought that since Dave Hupp of DLH Productions was kind enough to send me photos of the most blatant of the bunch, I had to post them. The first one is pretty self-explanatory.

This one may take a bit more explaining. What you are looking at here is the newest addition to the Burnside Skatepark. It's a tranny that was built around a Jersey Barrier that wraps around and also finishes the large pyramid on the north side of the park. Good luck getting a run up to it though. Not only will you have to cross the dreaded "No Skating Zone" line, you'll also have to deal with blacktop so rough it'll shred any part of exposed skin that goes down on it. Fun stuff!

Thanks again for the photo's Dave. It gave me a reason to get something going here again.

That's it. Go skate!
