New Burnside Bridgehead meeting
Thursday, December 17
For anyone interested, there will be a big meeting concerning the Burnside Bridgehead Project on Jan. 27 at bSide6 to see what the concept plans are for the empty lot next door to the park. I know this has been going on for almost 6 years now but we are fast-tracking this new project so hopefully it won't be such a lon...g process this time.If anybody thinks that they have a great idea that is reasonable, let's hear it. If you can't make the meeting I will compile all of the suggestions and take them with me to the meeting and discuss them with the architects and developers. All of them are totally on board with making sure the skatepark is taken care of so feel free to be creative. Just realize that the parking lot immediately North of the park is some of the most valuable property in Portland so we need to try to really make whatever we suggest fit in with whatever concept plans are shown.

That's it. Go skate!

"Built without permission, by skateboarders and later sanctioned by the city, Burnside is the preeminent example of action.... Like a magnifying glass in the sun, Burnside can witness a concentration of skill level unmatched anywhere. You can see crazy, crazy things there. Go, watch, learn, be humbled, excited and inspired. It is amazing."

Who are these guys that kill it at Burnside? The plan is to interview a different local each month to get different views from the people that skate one of the best parks in the world.
