"Built without permission, by skateboarders and later sanctioned by the city, Burnside is the preeminent example of action.... Like a magnifying glass in the sun, Burnside can witness a concentration of skill level unmatched anywhere. You can see crazy, crazy things there. Go, watch, learn, be humbled, excited and inspired. It is amazing."

Tuesday, August 9
Everything is falling into place and the nontest is looking good this year. Here are the details:

Place: Burnside Skatepark
Date: August 20, 2005
Time: 3pm - ???
Why: To raise money for the future of Burnside

You can get a copy of the flyer by clicking on it below, which opens a new window, and printing or saving from there. Feel free to copy, print, or post it everywhere.

We've been very fortunate to have the support of many skateboard companies and I want to thank them for thier contribution. So......Thanks to:

I'm still getting e-mails asking if they can still get in on the fundraiser, so expect the list of sponsors to grow a bit more before the Blowout. There's a ton of stuff to raffle and there's also quite a bit of stuff that we'll be giving away. So come buy some raffle tickets and help support Burnside.

We've also lined up some live music that will be playing above the park in the old RJ Templeton lot featuring MYG, a Burnside OG, and L mix R, a local band that rocks.

If you are planning on being in Portland for the Mt. Dew Action Sports Tour, make sure you set some time aside to come over to Burnside for a couple hours and show your support.

Speaking of the Mt. Dew Action Sports tour, they have just donated a bunch of tickets to the Burnside fundraiser to raffle, so make sure you come by to support our skatepark and the chance to win.

If you haven't heard about this tour, then check out what it's all about here ->Dew Action Sports Tour Vans Invitational

Thanks for the support everybody.

That's it. Go skate!

Who are these guys that kill it at Burnside? The plan is to interview a different local each month to get different views from the people that skate one of the best parks in the world.
