Slam City Jam
Monday, March 14
For those of you who don't know, the Slam City Jam is a yearly pro contest that is held in Vancouver, BC and attracts the best skaters from around the world. It also brings a lot of great skaters through Portland on their trek north which makes for some good sessions at the local parks. The Slam City Jam has historically been held in or around May, but due to a change in organizers, the date has been rolled back to August 26-28. The reason I bring this up is because, just in my last post, I mentioned that the Oregon Trifecta was going to be held in August, or more specifically, August 26-28. What does this mean for the Trifecta? Maybe the Trifecta will be more of a locals contest. I'll update if there are any changes to the dates of the Trifecta.
By the way, what are your thoughts on the Oregon Trifecta being held at Burnside? It's only one day, but it is also Burnside. Burnside has never been much of a contest park. I think there have been 2, maybe 3, contests at the park in its 14 year history. So I'm curious what everyone thinks about it. Cool, not cool, whatever. That's it. Go skate!
