This is really the moment we've been waiting for. Now that we know what the designs are, we can now approach the powers that be with our own proposal. We will be present at every meeting concerning this project to make sure that our best interests are met. As you can see by the picture, the project looks to build right to the edge of the bridge. (If you look close enough you can see the skatepark in the top picture.) This is a pretty big concern of mine, but it won't deter us from going for as much as we can. I will let everybody know what each proposal is, and how each one would effect the park, either directly or indirectly, so check back late this week or early next week for my take. Speaking of next week, the developers will be holding the public comment meetings next week. We hope to make everyone aware of the importance of our historical skatepark and bring as many businesses and local residents into our fold as possible.
